Warm and friendly traditional free house serving an ever-changing range of up to four real ales, usually featuring Essex microbreweries. An interesting selection of ciders. There is a main bar and a small back bar. A large patio area with picnic tables and extensive gardens are used to host many events throughout the year including beer festivals and musical events. This is a traditional drinking pub that does not offer cooked meals.
