We use self-drive Minibuses driven by CME members and volunteers where
possible. With Minibus hire we are unfortunately only
allowed to take CAMRA members on these trips. Spaces are limited to 16 per Minibus.
Non-members who wish to attend members only trips are encouraged to consider joining CAMRA.
Please note that for over-subscribed events we reserve the right to give priority to CME Branch members over
members of other Branches or non-members.
NB-For future events we will be using public transport where possible and taking advantage of £3 bus
fares.

Saturday 5th July 2025
We are running a minibus to go out and judge the four pubs in contention. Regional Liaison have agreed to pay half towards the costs, so there will only be a small charge to cover the costs of hiring a minibus.

By train from Chelmsford- times to be advised Visiting some classic pubs from Paddington to Euston. Everyone Welcome.

Saturday 30th August 2025
Using Public Transport so everyone is welcome. Times to be advised and confirmed, We'll be catching the X30 Bus from Chelmsford to Southend. The plan is to visit a few recommendations in Southend, WestCliff and then Leigh, visiting the Legra Tap and Leigh on Sea Brewery before making our way back to Rayleigh where we will then catch bus (or Train ) back to Chelmsford.

Saturday 13th September 2025
By train from Chelmsford and other Branch Stations. We will be spending the day following the Harwich Ale Trail, visiting 5 historic pubs in Harwich and 2 in Dovercourt. Possible stop off in Colchester on the way back. Times to be advised. Again, as we are using public transport, this is an open invitation to anyone wanting to partake.
Saturday 27th September 2025
Using Public Transport so everyone is welcome. Due to popular demand, we will be re-visiting the Belgian Brewer in Bishops Stortford. We will catch the bus to Stansted and then a bus to the Brewery. We'll also visit the nearby Nags Head Pub for some afternoon lunch.
Saturday 18th October 2025
By Minibus- so members only. Pick up time and place to be confirmed. Due to popular demand, we will revisit this special beer festival in Tunbridge Wells. Please book your place on the bus asap.
