For social bookings email socialsecretary@chelmsford.camra.org.uk or contact Martin Joy on 07878 624443 (Social Secretary). Last minute arrivals may be accepted at some events but for most pre-booking is advised.

We use self-drive Minibuses driven by CME members and volunteers where possible. With Minibus hire we are unfortunately only allowed to take CAMRA members on these trips. Spaces are limited to 16 per Minibus.

Non-members who wish to attend members only trips are encouraged to consider joining CAMRA.

Please note that for over-subscribed events we reserve the right to give priority to CME Branch members over members of other Branches or non-members.

Wednesday 19th March 2025 15:00

Chelmsford to The Wheatsheaf in Writtle.

Fresh air & some gentle exercise, followed by a fine ale or two.

Meet at 2.50/2.55pm opposite Chelmsford Railway Station outside Brewhouse.

We set off at 3.00pm sharp for a 4.5 mile ramble to The Wheatsheaf in Writtle.

We walk at the speed of the slowest, so no prior fitness is assumed or required.

Mostly traffic-free route.

Tarmac paths throughout so no specialist footwear required. However a waterproof jacket may (or may not) be required :)

Return at own leisure via C4, C32 or C46 bus or otherwise.
