For social bookings email socialsecretary@chelmsford.camra.org.uk or contact Martin Joy on 07878 624443 (Social Secretary). Last minute arrivals may be accepted at some events but for most pre-booking is advised.
We use self-drive Minibuses driven by CME members and volunteers where
possible. With Minibus hire we are unfortunately only
allowed to take CAMRA members on these trips. Spaces are limited to 16 per Minibus.
Non-members who wish to attend members only trips are encouraged to consider joining CAMRA.
Please note that for over-subscribed events we reserve the right to give priority to CME Branch members over
members of other Branches or non-members.
NB-For future events we will be using public transport where possible and taking advantage of £3 bus
fares.
Saturday 18th April.
By Train from Chelmsford to Harwich Town at 11.09
Currently £15.25 return with rail card.
We will visit the pubs which are listed in the Historic Harwich Ale Trail with a
Possible stop off in Colchester on way home. If so we will visit Magnet and Victoria
NB-Everyone and Anyone is welcome to join us.

Visiting the best pubs in Essex to Judge for the Essex pub of the year.
By minibus, we shall be visiting 7 pubs:
- Orange Tree - Chelmsford
- Ale House - Colchester
- The New Bell - Harwich
- Railway Arms - Saffron Walden
- Hurdlemakers Arms - Woodham Mortimer
- Woodbine - Waltham Abbey
- Rising Sun - Stanford Le Hope
- NB: No pub from SE Essex
We shall need the scores on that day as the deadline is 17th May.

We aim to visit pubs located in the famous Golden Triangle area of Norwich which includes the famous Fat Cat in West End Street.
A visit to Norwich is always a joy and everyone is welcome to join us.

We have decided to go by train (let the train take the strain)
We found various prices but most of us have gone for the direct trains from Euston to Liverpool and return.
£62.40 per person with rail cards from Chelmsford to Liverpool and Return.

You'll need to organize return from Chelmsford to Euston and return to meet these train times or make your own arrangements.
Please book your own accommodation, (there are plenty of options available suiting all budgets).

Evening Meal booked for 6pm on Friday 29th May at the famous Philharmonic dining rooms where I'm told the toilets are something to behold.
