See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
In the same family for over 20 years this friendly pub, dating from the 16th century, is tucked away behind houses just past the church. Two contrasting bars, one with bench seating, where darts, dominoes and crib are played, the other is for dining. In the warmer months the garden is a lovely area to sit at one of the picnic benches and enjoy drinks and food in a tranquil setting in view of the village church. Home-cooked food served Wednesday to Sunday. Beer festivals over the Bank Holiday weekends of Easter and August. In current CME Recommended Pub Guide and Branch Pub of the Year 2022.
