See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
This is a large traditional pub with an L-shaped bar, directly opposite Witham rail station. It dates back to 1842 and has a low, wooden-beamed ceiling in places but was completely refurbished in 2014. Guest beers tend also to be from Caledonian with Shepherd Neame and local breweries occasionally featuring. Right outside Witham rail station, where there is also a taxi rank. The food is all locally-sourced and there is the traditional roast dinner on Sunday. There is a quiz night on Wednesdays. A cabaret act is being featured on the last Friday or Saturday of each month.
