May is CAMRA Mild Month
Every May, CAMRA branches across the UK celebrate Mild Month, an initiative to celebrate and highlight the mild beer style, which was recently under threat of extinction due to a drop in popularity.
So far, we know that the following pubs in our branch will be serving Mild this May:
- The Hop Shop, Moulsham Street, Chelmsford is aiming to have a mild on permanently this May.
- In addition, there is a chance to win a gallon of cask beer!. This Saturday, 17th May, The Hop Shop will be running a raffle. Free ticket with every half of mild purchased (two for a pint). Prize is a gallon of cask beer!
- The Railway Tavern, Duke Street, Chelmsford has Mighty Oak Oscar Wilde on all year, a mild isn't just For May...
