Good community local with five real ales, extensively-refurbished and extended in spring 2020. A charity quiz is held on Monday evenings. Five handpumps in the saloon bar dispense three regular ales plus two guests. Outside there is a covered heated smokers' area and a patio garden. Food service (pizzas) starts when the pub opens and finishes an hour before closing time. Children are not permitted in the bars, but well-behaved children are allowed in the outdoor covered, heated area. Major sporting events are shown on TV.
