Thirst Drinks Syndicate

Thirst Drinks Syndicate have opened their all Drinks All Day concept next to the Ale House in Viaduct Road, Chelmsford.

They say "....starting the day with locally roasted coffee, then leading its way into the afternoon/evening for beer, cider, spirits and wine. We are created by the teams behind Essex Spirits Co and The English Vine (two Chelmsford based businesses) ........ We have a single cask line which will have cask beer of the week featuring beers from some of our favourite brewers like Elusive Brewing, East London Brewing Co, Chelmsford Brew Co, Billericay Brewery and more. We also have a selection of Cider (usually 4 BIBs and more in bottles) from (in our opinion) some of the best producers in the country including the likes of Oliver's, Turners and Sobremesa. We also have 5 keg beers and a selection of cans and bottles (including a decent selection of Belgian beers and bottled ales)."

They have an app for the latest news, and offer CAMRA members 50p off a pint of cask ale and draft cider.

Handpump Hijack!

Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company - one of the world's largest brewery conglomerates - has resorted to misleading consumers by hijacking the handpump to serve its "Fresh Ale" product. CMBC says this is "preserving the beloved hand pull ritual that delivers the traditional theatre of serve that ale is famed for".
